OUR STORY
Araknidos was founded in 2018 in Colorado, United States, under the direction of Renzo Karlo, a musician and producer with extensive international experience. The project was born with the vision of creating a solid band that pays tribute to the greatest pop and rock hits of the 80s and 90s, incorporating a modern sound and contemporary stage production.
Over time, and thanks to the audience’s response, Araknidos evolved into a versatile band, expanding its repertoire to include danceable genres that allow it to adapt to different types of events and audiences.
The band is made up of José Martínez (vocals, guitar, and piano), Javier Contreras (drums), Lizz Tayson (lead vocals), and Renzo Karlo (vocals and bass). Each member brings experience, professionalism, and a genuine passion for music.
LIZZ TAYSON
She began her musical journey at the age of 14, when she sang publicly for the first time at a Mother’s Day festival. She later participated in and won a music competition, which led to invitations to perform across multiple municipalities. She also collaborated by recording songs for public and political campaigns.
Her professional career started at age 16 with a group called EL MAYOR Y SUS MÁGICOS, where she spent six years. This group became both her musical foundation and her family. She later gained extensive experience performing in cities such as Guadalajara, Tepic (Nayarit), Puerto Vallarta, and Mazatlán (Sinaloa).
In 2019, she arrived in Denver, Colorado, where she first saw ARAKNIDOS perform on February 14 during their LAS DIVAS show. After sending a few messages, the opportunity to work with the band came months later—initially as a substitute vocalist, and eventually becoming the band’s lead singer.

RENZO KARLO
Peruvian by nationality, Renzo has been involved in music for almost his entire life. He began studying piano, later continuing with guitar and bass, performing in symphonic concerts and rock bands throughout high school and university.
After playing for more than 15 consecutive years with the renowned Peruvian band Iriz Rock, he moved to Colorado, USA, where he went on to form the band Araknidos. His musical journey includes a wide variety of projects, ranging from collaborations with other groups to personal projects, including original material released across two albums.
Along with his passion for music, Renzo truly enjoys every moment that Araknidos is in action!

JAVIER CONTRERAS
Originally from Venezuela, Javier picked up drumsticks at a very young age, beginning his musical studies at the music school of the University of Carabobo in Venezuela, and he has never stopped playing since.
With a clear passion for the arts, he studied music at the Private Technological Music School of Valencia and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from the University of Carabobo, Venezuela. Throughout his career, he has collaborated on various projects, including work with the University of Carabobo’s Department of Culture, standing out especially in jazz concerts.
Javier joins Araknidos to contribute his precise, subtle, and solid musical touch.

JOSE MARTINEZ
A well-known and experienced local musician in the Denver, Colorado area, originally from Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, with over 35 years of musical experience. Also known as “Pepe Teclas,” he has been part of various musical groups in both Mexico and the United States. He now joins Araknidos to stay and delight audiences with his remarkable talent.
